A 302nd Airlift Wing C-130 being loaded with a U.S. Forest Service Modular Airborne Firefighting System (MAFFS) unit that is test fired after checklist compliance is performed. A 302nd Airlift Wing C-130 aircraft carrying a modular airborne fire fighting system taxis on the runway at Jeffco Air Tanker Base while participating in MAFFS training and certification April 27, 2020. The USDA Forest Service Rocky Mountain Region, 302nd Airlift Wing (AFRES), Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., 153rd Airlift Wing (ANG), Cheyenne, Wyo., and other fire partners are participating in the training.
